My husband and I have been breeding Jack Russell Terriers in a small way for over 30 years. It started with purchasing a puppy and after careful selection for a male to breed her to, we had our first litter of puppies.
Out of her second litter, we kept one of her daughters and went through the same process with selecting that perfect male for her. So now the breeding program began. Breeding dogs was nothing new to us as we bred cattle and horses as well. We only keep two bitches at a time as our dogs are a big part of our family life. They live in the house with us and when we go on trips, the girls come with us, staying at pet friendly hotels.
